Psoriatic arthritis is classified as spondyloarthropathies because of the presence of spondylitis in up to 40% of patients. The occurrence of extra-articular features common to the spondyloarthropathies and association with HLA-B27.

     5.  Distal Interphalangeal Predominant (DIP)

Distal interphalangeal joint arthritis is seen in approximately 50% of the cases and is seen along with dactylitis and nail involvement.

  4. Dhara
    A medicated milk or decoction is poured all over the body to mitigate the doshas.
  5. Abhyanga
    Application of medicated oil, ghee, etc… to the body and massage is done for a specific period. This helps to reduce dryness, itching, etc…
  6. Swedana
    Sweating helps in increasing the peripheral blood flow thus helps in faster healing. It also helps to open up the channels to clear the obstruction caused by the aggravated doshas.
